EXHIBITION  INTRODUCTION

Southeast Asia Shop 2026, one of the most professional and influential retail industry events in the region, successfully held its third edition from October 15th to 17th, 2025, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur. The event set new records not only in scale and level of internationalization but also in industry impact. It successfully brought together nearly 170 industry-leading enterprises and innovators from over 20 countries worldwide, attracting a significant number of high-quality international buyers. The presence and opening remarks by YB Datin Hajah Lim Hui Ying, Deputy Minister of Finance of Malaysia, underscored the government's strong emphasis on the digital and intelligent transformation of the retail and vending industries. A series of high-level concurrent events, such as the Malaysia Consumer Forum, Vending Machine Development Forum, and International Networking Day, provided a platform for in-depth industry idea exchange. This solidifies the event's position as a core hub connecting global innovative technologies with the burgeoning Southeast Asian retail market.

The fourth edition in 2026 will see the exhibition undergo a major, high-investment upgrade. Under the theme "Smart Retail • Boundless Experience," it will focus on retail digitalization, intelligent technology, supply chain innovation, and consumer trends, dedicated to exploring a new world of seamless, immersive, and personalized consumption, empowering businesses to capture opportunities in Southeast Asia's high-growth retail market. The gathering will be further elevated by a concurrent series of premier industry conferences, including the Retail AI Conference and the Malaysia New Consumer Forum—encompassing the Retail Industry Leaders Summit, Retail Channel Marketing Summit, International Store Design Conference, and Vending Machine Development Summit. Together, they will solidify the event's status as Southeast Asia's flagship retail occasion.
