    On December 18, 2024, the highly anticipated "2024 Malaysia Vending & Retail Industry Expo and Global Vending Industry Summit Forum" concluded its run in Kuala Lumpur, gathering international associations and leading China-Malaysia businesses to explore new trends in the retail sector under the theme of 'Connectivity, Opportunities, Win-Win'—a global perspective on the transformation and prospects of the vending and retail industries.



    The forum featured highlights galore, from expert insights to cutting-edge technology showcases, all painting a vivid picture of the future for vending and retail. Not merely an intellectual feast, it marked the inception of deep collaborations, inviting attendees to relive the captivating moments of wisdom's collision.



    Kicking off the proceedings, Mr. Zhao Liangpeng, Joint Chairman of the Malaysian Vending Association, delivered a presentation titled "A Milestone in Malaysia’s Vending Machine Industry Payment System." He delved into the evolution of automation technology propelling the upgrade of the vending machine sector in Malaysia. From cash transactions to mobile payments, and today’s diversified payment methods, each change represented a significant stride forward. Particularly noteworthy are recent advancements like e-wallets and QR code payments, which have enhanced consumer experiences and operational efficiency, presenting unprecedented development opportunities.




    Mr. Chang Mingming, Chairman of Guangdong Xinde Long Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., shared his perspectives on "Cultural Integration: Smart Retail Localization and Growth Strategies." He underscored that smart solutions should not merely stack high-tech features but create service systems tailored to local culture and demand. Through case studies, Mr. Chang demonstrated how traditional retail can merge seamlessly with modern tech to develop locally relevant models, achieving sustainable growth goals aligned with local consumption habits yet setting trend-leading patterns.




    General Manager of Cloud Printing Information Technology Co., Ltd., Mr. Sheng Zhijie, detailed his company’s exploration in unmanned retail, highlighting technological strengths and a one-stop service concept—from hardware to software, sales front-end to back-end management—all aimed at constructing a seamless, efficient ecosystem for unmanned retail, earning commendations from the audience.




   Following him, General Manager Ye WenYi of Guangzhou Micro Tech Co., Ltd., addressed two topics: "Enhancing Sales with Smart Functionality in Vending Machines" and "New Horizons for the Vending Industry in 2025." He elaborated on how intelligent technologies enhance user experience through personalized services, driving sales uplift. Looking ahead to 2025, he emphasized the IoT enabling smarter, more efficient vending machines, indicating future directions.




   

  Mr. Usamah Zaid, representing the Islamic Development Foundation Malaysia, discussed strategies for "Cooperative New Trends and Profit Strategies – Vending Machines," illustrating novel paths for economic benefits via vending machines. He highlighted that deploying smart devices could boost service efficiency, cut labor costs, and offer customized product selections suited to diverse lifestyles. Additionally, he stressed the importance of cooperative models, encouraging cooperatives to collaborate with institutions for diversified operational schemes toward win-win scenarios.




   Mr. Yu Xiaofei, Client Manager of Shandong New Beiyang Information Technology Co., Ltd., presented on "Effortlessly Applying SNBC Solutions in Retail." He introduced the company’s holistic solutions and products, aiding retailers in accurately predicting market trends and enhancing customer shopping experiences through smart recommendation systems. His speech illustrated how technology serves as a pivotal force driving transformations in the vending and retail sectors, urging listeners to embrace digitalization, seize opportunities, and welcome the arrival of a new era.




    Concluding the forum, Mohd Aizat Rosli, Founder and CEO of VPS Vending (M) Sdn Bhd, spoke about "How Get n Go Express Captures Malaysia’s Vending Machine Market." Sharing strategies behind his brand’s successful breakthrough in the local market, securing a substantial share, he emphasized product positioning, operational efficiency, and customer service excellence, encouraging entrepreneurs to innovate continuously to meet evolving market needs.
